In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Reward.”
“The cure for anything is salt water – sweat, tears or the sea” – Karen Blixen
The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word “reward” is money, like bounty hunter rewards or allowance for doing your chores. But after thinking about it for awhile, reward can be many things. It could be a rare and memorable time where families get together. Or maybe after weeks of struggling and pushing yourself at the gym, you reached your goal to lose 10 pounds. Sometimes it could be as simple as getting a chance to finally read your book or a nice warm bubble bath.
After a crazy and chaotic week at work, what was rewarding for me was when I got to relax in the sand for a couple of hours at the beach. The weather was perfect, sunny with a light breeze, not too cold, not too hot. Just me and my fluffy best friend, taking in the sun and watching the boats sail by. One of my goals for 2015 was to spend more time outdoors, and so far it has been great. I feel more positive and energized, even after just sitting in the sand for a few hours!
